Guacamole is a wonderful Mexican accompaniment that is primarily made of avocados. Easily made from hand it is great for the outdoors where it is best to make it onsite as it can quickly brown.Â
There is a wide range of uses from a dip at a picnic or as a finger food appetizer, to an accompaniment on tacos, fajitas, or nachos. The smooth cooling of the avocado pairs well with the more spicey elements of a meal.
This is a very basic recipe but it can be taken up a notch with the addition of diced tomato or cilantro. The basic cumin season can be expanded or exchanged with a Mexican-style seasoning or rub.

Nice! I like to add a little onion, chili powder, and jalapeno usually….
I’m guessing this version is a lot more kid friendly… we’ll have to try it out. Thanks!
