Grains are an important part of a healthy diet while outdoors. Often grains are presented in a flour form but there are also lots of other options like rice, oats, couscous, quinoa, barley, and bulgar.
Grains are not just for baking there are also a wide range of other dishes that can be created like stews, porridges, risottos, and similar side or main dishes.
There are a number of iconic dishes that feature grains, a few of these are risotto, fried rice, paella, and jambalaya using rice. Shrimp and grits, polenta, tortillas, and cornbread using corn.
