Snack

When hiking or doing rigorous outdoor activities it is good to have a range of quick access snacks. These are normally small and high in protein.

While traveling like hiking, biking, and kayaking in the outdoors is when snacks are most important. They are a constant source of energy which is why you frequently see ingredients like fruits, nuts, dried meats, and whole grains which are high in protein, good fats, salts, and or natural sugars. All these are important nutrients while exerting energy.

If cooking a recipe they tend to take these ingredients and combine them into a trail mix, granola bar, protein muffin, or similar which is easy to carry and in small portion sizes.
