Baking in the outdoors brings such delights as cakes, cookies, biscuits, muffins, tarts,  and pies. These can be savory or sweet!

It sounds hard but there are a lot of equipment options to help with baking in the outdoors including camp ovens, Dutch ovens, and closed grills. It is also traditional to bake directly in the coals of the campfire.

When cooking bread cake and pastries, remember in the outdoors that you need to pay more attention to your rising agents, the temperature of your ingredients, and pre-heating your cooking equipment, especially if it is cast iron.
