Sauté Honey Bananas

These easy-to-make sauté honey bananas are a flavorsome sweet topping that is seasoned with a dash of cinnamon.

Once made they are very versatile to serve from breakfast pancakes to over ice cream for dessert. They are so sweet that it is good to pair with something a little more constrained in its flavor.

The bananas need to be fresh for this recipe to hold their shape, they will soften during cooking so if you start off with ones that are already soft it will just turn to mush.

Ingredients

1 banana

1 tablespoon butter

2 tablespoons honey

1/2 teaspoon dessert rub or cinnamon

Equipment

skillet

Recipe Directions

  1. Prepare the banana by slicing it thickly.

  2. Heat a skillet to moderate heat then melt the butter in it.

  3. When melted add the honey and cinnamon then mix to combine well.

  4. Add the bananas and cook for 2 minutes then turn and cook the other side.

  5. Serve the bananas and the honey syrup as a sauce with your desired accompaniment.
