Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs
If you are going to make a Hot Dog, you should wrap that baby in Bacon! Slightly longer prep time but totally worth the effort for so many reasons.
Easily cooked over a campfire, these chili hot dogs are a quick, easy and tasty meal while camping.
The hotdogs are plastic vacuum packed and the chili canned so both these as super easy to transport and store. The bread can be a little tricker but is often taken so not a big concern,
The cooking of this over a campfire and if served in a napkin means no dishes which is always a bonus when camping. This is especially so if you heat the canned chili next to the campfire, BUT please be careful and open the can as it can explode.
2 hot dogs
1 can chili
2 hot dog rolls
1/2 cup shredded (grated) cheese
toasting stick
Place the chili in a pot to heat or if roughing it maybe place it by the side of the fire to warm. The lid MUST be open if you do this otherwise the can may explode.
Place the hot dogs on marshmallow sticks and meat over the fire until hot all the way through.
Place the hot dog in the bun, then top with heated chili then sprinkle with the cheese.
