This pie comes together super quickly, especially if you use a store-bought pie shell. You can also use a homemade pie shell, with your favorite recipe.
Kentucky Derby Pie Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 6 ounces chocolate chips
- 1 cup nuts optional
- 1 ounce bourbon optional
- 1 unbaked pie shell

- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (160 degrees C).
- Mix together the sugar and flour. Using a mixer, add the eggs, butter, and vanilla, mixing well.
- Stir in the chocolate chips, nuts, and bourbon.
