With light and easily transportable ingredients, this is a perfect meal while hiking, trekking, or camping. For an extra protein boost, add some jerky or preserved sausage to make it a more rounded meal.
Packed with flavor the base broth is amped up with the addition of fresh garlic and ginger, fresh cilantro is also used to garnish and round out the flavor. The chili flakes add a punch of heat but can be left out if desired.
If hiking or trekking the liquid broth can be replaced with a powdered version and granulated dry versions of the seasonings used instead. In this case, only water is added to the pre-made flavoring blend.
Camp Noodle Soup Recipe
Ingredients
- 32 fl oz chicken broth or stock
- 1/2 inch ginger finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic finely diced
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes or to taste
- 1 packet ramen noodles discard the seasoning packet
- 1 sprig coriander (cilantro), to garnish

Directions
- In a small pot over high heat, place the broth, ginger, garlic, and chili on to boil.
- When the broth starts to boil add the noodles then simmer for 3 minutes until they are soft.
- Serve in two bowls then garnish with fresh coriander.
