Cream Cheese Stuffed Burgers

Cream cheese and chili powder are mixed and then stuffed into a homemade beef burger mix. Grilled to perfection, when you take a bit, you’ll be delighted to find melted cheese oozing out of the burger.

Place the burgers on toasted buns and top with your favorite condiments or eat just as they are. The seasoning of the cream cheese can be adjusted to your preferred spiciness.

Ingredients

Homemade Burger Pattie

  • 2 pounds beef mince
  • 1 red onion finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon herb rub

Cream Cheese Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder

Directions

Homemade Burger Pattie

  • Place the mince in a bowl then add the onions and herb mix.
  • Mix well with your hands then shape into 12 round flat patties.

Cream Cheese Filling

  • In a separate bowl, mix together the cream cheese and chili powder.
  • Divide the cream cheese mixture into 6 pieces and form them into flat disks.

To Prepare

  • Place a disk of cheese onto a patty then cover with a second patty. Carefully pressure the meat together to create one complete burger patty.
  • Cover and chill for at least 1 hour.
  • Preheat a flat top grill to medium heat.
  • Cook the burger patties on the flat top grill to the desired doneness. Serve with buns and your favorite condiments.
