Oysters Kirkpatrick is a classic English dish where fresh oysters are cooked with bacon and a Worcestershire tomato sauce. It’s a super simple dish that makes a perfect appetizer, finger food, or side dish.

This version of Oysters Kirkpatrick has a kick of heat from hot Tabasco sauce. Be careful not to add too much to overpower the delicate flavor of the oysters. The flavor is also enhanced by the smoke from cooking over the grill.

If you are looking for a fancy yet easy-to-prepare appetizer or finger food to share at your next backyard party this is a great option. Serving in the shell gives it a great presentation and a primal connection to the sea.
