Grilled Oysters Kilpatrick

Oysters Kirkpatrick is a classic English dish where fresh oysters are cooked with Worcestershire sauce, a tomato based sauce, and bacon. It’s a super simple dish that makes a perfect appetizer or side dish.

2 rashers streaky bacon, diced

1/4 cup tomato sauce

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce

12 oysters

lemon wedges, for garnish

Recipe Directions

  1. Preheat a grill for indirect high heat.

  2. Cook the bacon until crispy then drain on a paper towel.

  3. Mix the tomato sauce, Worcestershire, and Tabasco sauce in a small bowl.

  4. Spread the bacon evenly over the oysters. Place some of the sauce on each one.

  5. Grill for 1 minute. Remove from the heat and garnish with a squeeze of lemon.
