A classic Indian dish loved by families, this easy meatball tikka marsala is a perfect dish for camping. It can easily be cooked on a two-burner camping stove or even over a campfire. Meatballs are simmered in an aromatic sauce with spices, then served alongside cooked rice.

For quick and easy preparation there is a wide range of pre-prepared meatballs available. Or you can use leftovers from a batch you made or make a batch specifically for this recipe. Meatballs can be made from any meat desired, such as beef, chicken, turkey, or pork.

Unlike the cliche perception of curries, many are not hot. This recipe is an example of a dish with a wide range of spice flavors, yet no heat and a sweet undertone. It partners well with simple rice preparations and Indian flatbreads.
