Rob has been cooking, teaching, and preaching the gospel of BBQ across Canada for over 15 years.

Rob over the past 15 years has built his reputation across the world of Canadian BBQ to become a key influencer in the world of barbecue. This has developed through his wide range of activities in forums, websites, social media, television, and print. As well as being a co-founder and president of the Canadian BBQ Society.

Rob is the founder and primary instructor of Canada’s BBQ school featuring three of Canada’s best barbecues teaching over 750 students a year.

Rob’s brand, Prairie Smoke and Spice is both a successful business with the largest fleet of commercial smokers in Canada serving up to 5,000 people a day and the name of his highly awarded competition Barbecue team.

Through competition barbecue Rob is 2-time Canadian National Barbecue champion, 2-time World Champion (Chef’s Choice), 20-time Grand Champion, 18-time World Championship Invitee!
