Light the grill wood and let it burn until glowing hot. Lightly oil the grate.
Wrap each potato with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick. If you are worried that you potatoes are too big and won’t cook through, partly cook first before wrapping with the bacon
Sprinkle the rub evenly all over the bacon-wrapped potatoes.
Place the bacon-wrapped potatoes on the grill. Turn the potatoes with tongs several times to allow the bacon to cook on all sides. The potatoes will be done in 20 to 25 minutes, or when the bacon is nice and crisp.
