hickory wood
heavy duty aluminum foil
Directions
Start a campfire using hickory wood or available hardwood.
Generously hollow out the top of each apple using a paring knife or melon baller.
Using a fork, mix together the raisins, oats, apple cider, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon in a bowl.
Stuff the mixture into the hollowed-out apples.
Double-wrap each apple in foil, then place it directly on the hot campfire coals. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes, until the apples are just tender.
Carefully remove the apples from the coals, unwrap (being careful of the steam), and serve.
