Directions
Light your grill to preheat your grill to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Apple Dumpling
Slice each peeled and cored apple into 8 wedges. Place the apple in a bowl with some lemon juice to stop it from browning.
Take each flaky biscuit and divide it into 3.
Wrap one piece of apple in one of the sections of biscuit, then wrap and seal. Put aside until needed.
Dumpling Cooking Syrup
Combine the water, sugar, butter, and cinnamon in a bowl.
To Cook
In a cast iron skillet place the apple dumplings then pour the cooking syrup over the top.
Cook for 20 minutes, then cover and cook for an additional 25 minutes.
To Serve
Remove the dumplings from the skillet to a plate. Dust with a little confectioner's sugar, then drizzle with the caramel sauce.
