Preheat a Dutch oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
In a bowl, add the flour and salt, then create a well in the middle.
Add to the well the brown sugar, egg, cream, and finally the ginger beer.
Mix well with a knife until all the flour is bound together.
Tip out the dough and gently knead until a soft dough is formed, then create a disc the size of the Dutch oven.
Dust the preheated Dutch oven with a thin sprinkling of flour.
Add the dough disc to the prepared Dutch oven, then score about 80% through a grid pattern.
Place the lid on the Dutch oven, then bake the scones for 20 minutes at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Once cooked, remove the ginger beer scones from the Dutch oven and serve. Individual scones are easily pulled along the grid lines. Serve with your favorite topping.
