pork chops
or boneless loin chops, 3/4-inch-thick bone-in

Directions
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oil, lemon juice, garlic, sugar, chili powder, and pepper.
Put the pork chops in a plastic ziptop bag and pour in the marinade. Marinate the pork chops for 2 to 4 hours.
Build a charcoal fire for direct grilling. Preheat it to 450 degrees F (232 degrees C).
Grill the pork chops over direct heat until the internal temperature is 145 to 150 degrees F (63 to 66 degrees C), 6 to 7 minutes on each side.
Remove the chops from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
