In the steaming pot, add the broccoli after breaking it down into smaller florets. If using a normal pot as little as two tablespoons of water can steam the broccoli if you have a tight-fitting lid. Bring to a moderate temperature and steam until tender, about 10 minutes.
In a small bowl create the dressing by combining the sesame oil, garlic, and soy sauce.
When the broccoli is cooked to your desired firmness, drizzle with the prepared dressing then toss to make sure it is evenly covered. Season with salt to taste.
Sprinkle with the sesame seeds before serving. Serve while hot.
